Our History
Roots
Methal's story begins with Italian and German immigrants who arrived in southern Brazil in the late 19th century. Grandparents, uncles and parents built shops and small factories making tools, equipment, mills and metalworks in the region. From these roots, Methal Agriculture was born in 1964 in Cachoeira do Sul (RS), with the purpose of manufacturing replacement parts for the agricultural machines that kept the fields running.
Expansion and Industrialization
The second generation took over and expanded the product line, invested in modern equipment and consolidated Methal's presence in the national market.
Modernization and Export
The brand is renewed, processes are modernized with Hardox steel and AWS-certified welding, and Methal begins exporting to Latin America, North America, Europe and Oceania.
International Reference
Over 1,000 SKUs in production, more than 2,000 OEM codes, 70+ employees and presence in 12 countries across 4 continents. Methal is the smart alternative to the OEM market.
Partnerships and Institutional Recognition
Methal is part of organizations that strengthen its position in the domestic market and in exports.
APEX-Brazil
Methal is registered with APEX-Brasil (the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and maintains its own showcase on the platform, taking part in the agency's trade promotion and internationalization programs.
FIERGS
Methal is a member of FIERGS (Federation of Industries of the State of Rio Grande do Sul) and takes part in partnership programs with the federation, strengthening its institutional presence in the state's metalworking sector.
